I'm Shrimply Curious about what went into making this cool website. It's a good thing this page lays it all out!

The Tech Stack

It's not much

Aiming to document aspects of my life, interests, and my past projects.

That's the goal I wrote down on my personal README when I set my mind to working on Comfort Cabinet.

This website is a glorified blog and portfolio, so I've tried to keep the packages minimal. The one I wanted to make sure to include was MDX which makes formatting blog posts easier and allows me to include interactive components.

I thought about opting for Tailwind CSS to speed up development, but working with vanilla CSS gave me a deeper understanding, fine control of styling, and separation from content.

React and Next are frameworks I've worked with, and I wanted to hone my skills by keeping up to date with the latest updates. I believe other frameworks might be more efficient for this kind of website, but I simply chose what I'm most confident with.

I do have some additions in mind to support future features, so I'll be sure to post updates under the Web Dev section of the blog.
